Health Plan Benchmarking
To obtain and provide uniform cost and utilization measures for its members, PBGH collaborates with Aetna, HealthAmerica, Highmark, UnitedHealthCare and UPMC Health Plan to produce the Western Pennsylvania Annual Health Plan Benchmark Report.
Performances measurements on PPO, HMO and POS plans included:
- Key cost and utilization benchmarks on inpatient, outpatient, and professional services, as well as prescription drug benefits; and
- Information on trends and future strategies.
With this report, PBGH member companies are able to
compare their own experience to regional and national benchmarks and help
identify areas for targeted prevention and care management efforts.

section of the Member Center.
