2006 Symposium Recap
More than 300 people attended Transparency:
Turning the Lights on Health Care in September
2006. Attendees heard about tools and strategies that are bringing health
care out of the dark and into the light.
- Subimo President Ann Mond Johnson provided an overview
of how health plans disclose provider payments and clinical quality
indicators to educate and inform their members.
- Jackie Willmot presented Humanas innovative
member rewards program to promote wellness and healthy behavior over
time, a frequent flier approach to employee incentive programs.
- Robert S. Mecklenburg, MD and chief of medicine
at Virginia Mason Medical Center, discussed the medical centers
nationally recognized strategy of collaborating with employers and Aetna
to create a value-based, tiered network option.
Along with the speakers, the symposium sponsors and
exhibitors provided additional information and resources for attendees.
